The old tenement apartments in the East village and Lower east side were narrow “shotgun” layouts. At 8’-10’ wide and 90’ long, this floor-through conversion is a continuous, angular transition from front public to rear private spaces. Angles direct flow and connection from one area to the next, while defining distinct pockets for various functions. Green design throughout with sustainable wood selection, low VOC finishes, water and power efficient fixtures.
